Do your houseplants look sad? What does it mean when their leaves turn yellow? Plant expert Cami Farmer will help you understand what your house plants need to thrive! Learn how to choose the best plants for your home and how to pot them correctly so they have space to grow. She will show you how to take cuttings for propagation and how to get rid of pesky pests. 

When she isn’t playing with plants, Cami works as a math and business tutor at bg真人游戏注册. She holds a master's degree in agriculture economics from the U of A where she became an expert in using Excel. Cami is a firm believer that money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy plants, and that’s pretty much the same!

Gaining Victory Naturally

Instructor: Wendy Fargo 

This course can provide you with alternative ways to gain victory over conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Learn how to apply a combination of dietary and herbal processes to address many of these common health concerns. This 5-week course uses a holistic approach to fighting disease and includes opportunities to make your own herbal tea blends customized to your health needs.

Growing Culinary Herbs

Instructor: Sarah Hoffman 

Delight in the vibrant flavors and aromas of fresh herbs as you learn how to grow the best herbs for your culinary pursuits. Discuss containers, soil composition, proper planting times, spacing, and light requirements. You will design and plant a container to take home with you. Please bring gloves and dress appropriately for the outdoors. 

Sarah grew up in gardens and developed a passion for growing things early. Her experience includes a lifetime of creating and maintaining organic gardens of flowers, vegetables, herbs, trees, shrubs, and roses.

Herbal Remedies II

Instructor: Jamon Henderson 

Back by popular demand, this class is for both beginning and returning students wishing to expand their knowledge of herbal healing. This informative class will help you identify local plants, discover their medicinal uses, and teach you to make your own natural remedies such as teas, salves, and creams.  

Jamon is a Certified Advanced Master Herbalist with over 15 years of experience as a medicine maker. He lives in Missouri and first learned about plant medicine for survival camping. Now he focuses on making herbal medications and sharing his knowledge with community groups.
