There is a steady demand worldwide for agricultural products from both large operations and small farms. Farmers are always needed to feed the world, but there also other areas of agriculture that students can consider such as park/forestry service workers, agricultural inspectors, loggers, cattle operators, nursery or tree farm workers, animal care workers and more.

This program is Arkansas Future Grant eligible, which means the grant may cover tuition and fees.

Transfer or Stackable Options

bg真人游戏注册 has agreements with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and with Arkansas Tech University to offer students seamless options for transfer into specified agriculture majors or concentrations using the AS in Agriculture degree, but the degree can also serve as a foundation for students who plan to transfer elsewhere.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of terminology, breeds, digestion, reproduction, and production related to animal and poultry science
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of general plant terminology and classification, forage crops, row crops, field crops, and production aspects within horticulture
  • Students will identify and describe careers in the agriculture industry
  • Students get hands-on experiences with our on-campus greenhouse, high tunnel and mobile hydroponics trailer
